Avon Park High School will hold after school tutoring on Tuesday, Wednesday and
Thursday each week from 3:30pm to 5:00pm from March 18th through May 8th. There will be certified
teachers available at after school tutoring each day to help with all subjects: English, math,
science and social studies. Teachers in after school tutoring can help with homework, help students
study for tests, provide remediation for current core classes, or provide a quite setting for
homework. If a student is absent from school one day and misses a test, teachers can arrange for
test make ups to occur in after school tutoring as well.
Each day there will be three teachers available to support students' needs. Our ESOL para is also
available to assist students. There will be snacks provided as well. Students can attend for the
entire hour and a half or they can leave once the have completed their work or received the help
they were requesting. Teachers will have students sign in and out each day.
We are pleased to offer this resource to our students. Please consider using this resource to help
students work on their academics and their goal of high school graduation.
If you have any questions about after school tutoring, please reach out to your child's guidance
counselor.
