Here is a look at one of the APUSH teams creating a study technique for Period 5 1820-1877. This game made learning information, documents, and concepts fun for the students. All were engaged and had fun the rules were simple and play began after 5 minutes of instruction. The basic concept was like monopoly with a twist there was a speed round that required the student who got the question to guess the answer via a charade/information minute where the other players tried to explain it without saying the answer. This meant both charade members and person trying to answer must use critical thinking to deduce the answer and clues. I wanted to share this I think it’s a great project for a small group to do for review to create (indepth research on their part) and active critical thinking for the players.
